Populous Privacy Policy

We collect the minimum information needed to provide the product: account details, experiment content you create, simulation metadata, and billing records.

What we collect

Account information includes your email address, password hash, verification state, and subscription or access-code status. Product usage includes populations, experiments, simulation outputs, and analytics events tied to your account.

How we use it

We use this information to authenticate you, process billing, run simulations, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and support customers.

Payments

Stripe processes payment details. We store Stripe identifiers and subscription state, but we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.

Retention

We retain account and product data while your account is active and as needed for operational, legal, or security purposes.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers that help us operate Populous, such as infrastructure, analytics, email delivery, and payment processors.
